There are a number of parking lots across campus. For campus tours, we recommend parking in the Visitor Lot located at 1853 Illinois Street in Golden, CO 80401. This lot is directly across the street from the Admissions Office and Starzer Welcome Center, located at 1812 Illinois Street.

Please park in any lot with “Pay Station” Locations. We will provide a parking code in your event confirmation email so you can park for free. Please note: street parking within campus is zoned and permitted. Please pay attention to all posted signs. Attendees of special events should reference their confirmation email for specific parking instructions.

If you are visiting campus after 5:00 p.m. during the week or attending a weekend event, all on-campus parking is free.

From Denver International Airport (DIA)

It takes around 45 minutes to one hour, depending on traffic, to drive between Colorado School of Mines and DIA. From DIA, take Peña Boulevard (10 miles) south to I-70 west. Follow I-70 west (18 miles) and take exit 265 for CO-58 west. Follow CO-58 west to Washington Avenue (4 miles). Turn left on Washington Avenue from the exit off CO-58. Turn right on 19th Street at the stop sign and continue to Illinois Street. Turn right at the traffic light, and take an immediate  right into the Visitor Lot.

From Denver

Use 6th Avenue to head west into Golden. Take the exit for 19th Street, continue straight through the roundabout and then turn left onto Illinois Street at the traffic light. Take an immediate right into the Visitor Lot.

From Boulder

Take Highway 93 into Golden (turns into 6th Avenue East). Take the exit for 19th Street, continue straight through the roundabout and then turn left onto Illinois Street at the traffic light. Take an immediate right into the Visitor Lot.
