First Year Students

Start with a half-hour info session designed to provide an overview of Colorado School of Mines. Topics include academic programs, student life, the application process and other important tips and recommendations.

Following the info session is a 90-minute walking tour of campus led by a student ambassador. This tour showcases academic and student life facilities, as well as housing opportunities and residence halls. It also allows you to connect with a current student. A Q&A period is available after the tour concludes.

Students are limited to one (1) additional guest. We recommend allowing a minimum of two hours for this visit experience.

 

Please note: these information sessions and tours are intended for individual prospective high school students and their guests. If you are a school counselor or teacher, please do not fill out this form for a group visit. All group visit requests must use our group tour registration form.

This half-hour session provides an overview of Colorado School of Mines for accepted students. Topics include important next steps, upcoming deadlines, financial aid opportunities, and other important tips and recommendations.

Following the info session is an hour and fifteen minute-long walking tour of campus led by a student ambassador. This tour showcases academic, student life, and housing facilities. If you are interested in meeting with a specific department or faculty member while visiting, our office can assist in facilitating connections. Meetings are not guaranteed, and are offered at the discretion of individual departments or professors.

Please reach out to your department of interest to schedule a visit using the link below. Due to scheduling considerations, academic visits are not available during the first and last two weeks of each semester.

One-on-One Sessions

Connect with our Graduate Admissions team virtually, in person or via phone! During this informal 30-minute meeting, you’ll have the opportunity to ask all of your questions about the graduate application process, academic programs, student services and more.

Group Visits

Summer 2024
Available select Wednesdays
10:30 a.m.

We welcome larger group visits every year, including high schools, TRIO programs and more!

Groups visits include a 30-minute information session followed by a one-hour campus tour.
Due to staff availability, these visits are limited to students currently enrolled in high school.

Total group size is limited to 33 visitors, including chaperones. Register early, space is limited.
