Morgan Hall

Morgan Hall dedication
Morgan Hall was built in 1967 to provide student housing. Morgan Hall is named in honor of Jesse R. Morgan, a popular and long-standing dean at Mines. Morgan came to Mines in 1923 as a field secretary and head of the Department of English and Economics. He continued his work at Mines until 1942 as the director of summer sessions.
Morgan Hall is one of four traditional-style residence halls on campus (also known as the “Trads”), offering one community-style restroom per floor, a laundry room facility and a social lounge area.
