Hill Hall

Hill Hall was built in 1956 and named after U.S. Senator and Mines’ Board of Trustees member Nathaniel P. Hill.

A major addition was completed in 1998. It currently houses the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department.

The popular Friday Free Pour takes place in the Metallurgical and Materials Department’s foundry in Hill Hall. It’s an opportunity for students across Mines to experience sand casting to make an aluminum object.
